abstract="This paper addresses the conceptual difference there is between violence and aggression. The former is defined as a manifestation of extemporaneous or inappropriate power or force. The latter is defined as an agonist behavior aimed at causing harm. There can be non-aggressive violence, and non-violent aggression as well. Categorization and discrimination are the processes underlying violent aggression. Unanimous aggression, however, preserves social order: Indeed--according to the social group at stake--justifications for violence are order, justice, and fear. A short discussion on contemporary situation closes the paper.<p /> <p>Language: es</p>",
