Abstract

This paper discusses failure diagnosis by fuzzy expert systems. A network of expert bases is constructed. The first expert base is used for the evaluation of ill-measured or unmeasurable variables. These values are used as input information into the second expert base which identifies the type of failure. To increase the probability of eliminationg errors in the failure analysis, a dialogue between a human specialist and an expert system is partially guided by the intelligence interface of the expert system.
