Abstract

Over the last few years a number of documents have been published on the management of reliability. These publications show that there is common agreement as to how the activities directed towards achieving reliability should be managed. The remaining problems concern attitudes, and unless or until attitudes to reliability change, these management strategies will not bring the benefits they could. This paper examines some of the attitudes which currently exist.
